Matthew D. Wallack is the Chief Investment Officer of Roundview Capital. He oversees and coordinates investment research at the firm in addition to managing client portfolios.
Matthew earned a MBA from Harvard Business School and received a postgraduate Diploma in Economics from the London School of Economics & Political Science. He graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a major in Economics and a minor in History. Matthew began his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis. He is a CFA charterholder.
Matthew has a longstanding passion for investing that predates his professional experience in the business. He spent eight years at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in Princeton, New Jersey, where he was a Vice President researching high yield and convertible bonds, syndicated corporate loans as well as equities and distressed debt. He subsequently worked as a Vice President and credit analyst for Wexford Capital, a $7 billion hedge fund and private equity firm in Greenwich, Connecticut. He left Wexford to found the independent investment advisory firm Orchard Park Capital in 2008.
Matthew’s early career was as a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. Department of State. He served tours of duty in Madrid, Singapore, the Department of State Executive Secretariat (Operations Center) and the White House Situation Room, where he was Senior Duty Officer. He was a member of the Investment Subcommittee of his alma mater, Georgetown Day School, for ten years and currently serves on the Finance Committee of All Saints Church in Princeton, New Jersey. He is married with two children. Matthew’s interests include college basketball, bicycling, train travel and track & field. He earned USATF Masters All-American status in 2012 (M45, 400 meters; M50, 400 meters) and 2013 (M50, 200 meters; M50 400 meters).
